Dr Martin Fox
Dr Martin is the principal of our practice with over thirty years’ experience in all aspects of general practice. His special interests include travel medicine, infectious diseases and preventative medicine.
He has post-graduate qualifications which include the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Certificate of Travel Health of the International Society of Travel Medicine and he is also a member of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
He believes the essence of a good GP is being a good listener and sharing information to enable patients to make informed choices about their health.
Dr Nick Alfieri
Dr Nick is one of our most popular and respected doctors. He is a very experienced GP and has been a member of the Southgate Medical team since 2008.
Graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at Adelaide University in 1994, Nick is also a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
His special interests include cardiovascular disease risk management and travel medicine.
Dr Kirsty Dunhill
Dr Kirsty has special interests in women’s & children’s health.
After graduating from Monash University medical school in 1993 she worked a number of years in general practice in Queensland and then retuned to Melbourne in 2009
She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has completed post graduate training in both Women’s Health and Travel Medicine.
Kristy takes pride in providing her patients thorough attention and care and adequate time in the consultation in order to attend appropriately to their needs.
Dr Prachi Dadheech
Dr Prachi is a respected member of our medical team with special interests in Women’s Health, Sexual and Reproductive Medicine & Aesthetic Medicine including anti-wrinkle treatments. She is also trained in Implanon & Mirena insertion.
She gained her medical degree from the University of Birmingham in the UK. She then completed specialist general practice training before moving to Melbourne to continue her career in general practice.
Dr Prachi has a post graduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Prachi is also a keen writer and has collaborated with a colleague GP to write a social media commentary focused on evidenced-based Women’s Health issues.
Dr Jeet Garud
As well as being a very experienced GP, Dr Jeet is also an accredited skin cancer doctor and is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (SCCA).
Dr Jeet completed his vocational training in general practice in the United Kingdom before moving to settle in Melbourne.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and completed post graduate training in skin cancer, receiving a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer (MMed) with the University of Queensland.
He holds Diplomas in Skin Cancer Medicine, Skin Cancer Surgery, Dermoscopy and is also a member of the International Dermoscopy Society.
His other medical interests include men’s health, travel medicine, sexual and reproductive health, chronic disease management and minor surgical procedures.
Dr Jeet also trained in psychiatry for four years before training in general practice and has experience in treating mental health conditions. He is passionate about teaching medical students and is an honorary lecturer at the University of Melbourne and a GP affiliate at Monash University.
Dr Natalie Yuen
Dr Natalie trained as a GP in Hong Kong & is fluent in Cantonese. She holds a joint Fellowship of the RACGP & HKCFP as well as the Diploma in Child Health. Her interests include all aspects of general practice, including women’s health & children’s health.
Samantha Chiu – Practice Manager / Nurse Manager
Sam holds a double degree in a Bachelor of Nursing and Applied Science (Health Promotion), graduating in 2000. She has extensive experience as a Practice Nurse and enjoys all facets of General Practice, firmly believing in ‘Prevention is better than Cure’ with active patient involvement.
Sam comes with nursing experience in Travel Medicine, Corporate Health, as a Clinical Preceptor for Masters of Nursing students from Melbourne University, Mother Baby Unit, Special Care Nursery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Cosmetic Surgery, as well as General, Colorectal, Urology, and Theatre nursing in major hospital settings.
Sam re joins the team at Southgate Medical Centre as Practice Manager and Nurse, working Monday-Wednesday. When not working, Sam is a mother and loves spending time with her family, is a Melbourne born and bred foodie, enjoys the occasional hike, travelling and getting away from it all.
Cynthia Santos – Clinical Nurse
Cynthia is a Registered Nurse, she completed her hospital based training in the Philippines in 2003. She moved to Australia in 2013 for a better future for her young family and completed the Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses course in the same year. She also completed her Nurse Immuniser course in 2016 and is a certified Nurse Cervical Screening Provider. Cynthia is a dedicated and hard worker, willing to help her patients and colleagues in any way that she can. Outside of work, Cynthia loves spending time with her two gorgeous kids and family.

Noriyo joined Southgate Medical Centre team with a great deal of experience. Over the past 18 years, Noriyo has been working as a medical receptionist at various practices in Melbourne.
Having worked in the airline industry in Japan and New Zealand, Noriyo prides herself on providing hospitality and high quality of care consistently.

Olivia eagerly joined the Southgate team in 2019 after relocating from Queensland for study purposes. She is a current student at the Australian Catholic University and is studying a dual Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Business Administration. In her spare time, Olivia, enjoys exploring Melbourne, is an avid reader and loves to take any opportunity to visit family and friends in the Sunshine State. Olivia has worked in General Practice and customer services for many years and looks forward to assisting you part-time Wednesday to Friday.
Joining us in 2018, Devan is an avid member of the Southgate team. Devan is a current student at Monash University and is studying a Master of Counter Terrorism and Political Violence. He is also a passionate volunteer leader in the Monash community, and spends his spare time helping with the orientation of new students, while also leading one of the music societies at Monash.

Domi is one of our part-time receptionists, with 6 years’ experience on the front desk. She has worked in physiotherapy, plastics, dermatology, and is currently completing a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons). Domi is dedicated to the practice and loves having a laugh with the patients. Outside of work, Domi spends time baking, cooking with her family, and listening to music.
